Recently, Evalyn Curtis, a satisfied customer, shared: “I love this place… a very pleasant, friendly place for all ages.” This reflects the cafe’s commitment to being a family-friendly environment. However, it's essential to note that a few visitors have expressed concerns about the coffee temperature; as Jan Clip mentioned, there is room for improvement in the barista’s consistency. Nonetheless, the friendly atmosphere and delightful menu far outweigh these minor setbacks.

Richard Phillips beautifully highlighted how Rivulet Cafe is “never too busy,” making it an ideal spot for a tranquil coffee break. With affordable prices and excellent service, it’s easy to see why this cafe has made a name for itself in South Hobart.

If you’re on the lookout for a cozy place to relax, gather with friends, or simply enjoy a quality meal, Rivulet Cafe is a wonderful choice. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with a smile!

I love this place, after the Wednesday C3 Church worship, singing and prayers from 12noon to 12.45pm my friend and I had a Birthday Lunch together. The Rivulet Cafe has a large enclosed play area for children, outdoor sitting, car park and great coffee. A very pleasant friendly place for all ages. Take a walk along one of the tracks with a furry friend if you want. Dogs on leads are recommended. I highly recommend and Love This Place!

This is a beautiful and welcoming place so I hesitate to complain. My requests for a hot coffee are ignored every time. Please hire a Barista The coffee used to be just perfect. There was a good barista but now it is predictably cool or cold even though I almost beg for a hot one.

This is a small cafe that is located on a quiet side street off South Hobart's main street. It is right next to the rivulet, which is lovely to walk along when the weather's nice. The cafe is never too busy when I'm there and the prices are great and not expensive. I always have the beef roll as well as a coffee or soft drink. The music isn't too loud, which I like and the staff are very friendly. It's a great place to go to if you want a coffee and some cheap food.

Great food, had a very nice white hot chocolate, basic selection but very cheap compared to other cafes. Good seating inside and out including couches and normal dining. Good playground, heaps of seating around playground and very kid friendly. Car park very close to cafe with heaps of parking. Only let down as the food we wanted wasn't available due to stock issues (both of our choices!) Will return though.

What a great find. We were walking back from the Female Prison museum along the path by the river and came across this cafe. Lovely delicious food, great coffee, good prices, huge eating area plus play equipment and very friendly staff. Highly recommend
